Students feel unease as the PLA installed surveillance cameras near Hong Kong Baptist University

With the continue escalation of the Anti-extradition bill movement, the PLA Kowloon East Barrack, which is right next to the HKBU campus, had installed over 10 surveillance cameras near the University campus starting earlier this month.

Students are concerned if any of these cameras are capable of facial recognition. As the newly installed cameras covers as far as the Hong Kong Baptist Hospital and the major footpath to the university campus, some students were anxious if their privacy has been compromised.
